As a Coop Ed employer, you will have close contact with QUT and the Faculty, gaining access to University staff and facilities, enabling you to play an active role in the education process.

The Coop Ed program attracts high-quality students; therefore you can expect to work with motivated student employees with proven academic records.

The Faculty coordinates the work placement process through liaison with participating employers. You will receive student resumes for shortlisting and coordinate the interview process, then select your suitable student(s).

Once a placement has commenced, supervisors in your workplace are responsible for ensuring that the Coop Ed student undertakes a valuable learning experience while carrying out the duties specified in the position description.

Contact with the Faculty is maintained throughout the student's placement. The workplace supervisor meets with the academic supervisor during the placement to discuss the student's progress.

Employers have the option to commence their Coop Ed student placement in either semester.
