Industry work placement while you study

The Cooperative Education Program is a joint venture between employers and educators to better prepare students for employment after graduation. Students have the opportunity to undertake 10-12 months of paid industry employment within their Information Technology degree.

Students can expect to be directly involved in a wide range of information technology practices including:

Organisations that QUT's Cooperative Education students have worked for include Boeing Australia, CITEC, Dimension Data, RACQ, UNiTAB, Dialog, SAP, Sun Microsystems and various government departments, both federal and state.

Entry to the program is available to students with the Faculty of Information Technology, enrolled in an undergraduate program either as a single degree or double degree, and students enrolled in postgraduate coursework programs. Students' eligibility is based on academic performance and applicable course progression.
